Dear Tiny, Little, and Junior Miss Georgia Forestry
Pageant contestants,

We welcome you to the Miss Georgia Forestry Pageant to
be held on June 9, 2006, Friday night, and June 10,
2006, Saturday Night at the Performing Arts Center at
the Tift County High School. Please read all this
information and keep it in a safe place so you will
know what is going on at the pageant when you arrive!!
Tiny will compete at 5:00 P.M. and Little at 7:00 P.m.
on June 9th. Junior at 5:00 P.M. on June 10th. Doors
will open one hour prior to the pageant. I have listed
below an itinerary for you to go by. Rehearsal Friday,
June 9, 2006 at 9:00 a.m. for Little Miss, Tiny Miss
at 10:00 A.m. and 11:00 A.M. for Junior Miss.
Rehearsal is not mandatory, but this will be the only
time to walk the pattern, please don‘t ask, our
schedule is filled to the max. Contestants will have
the opportunity to walk the stage one time to get the
feel of the stage, so please be practicing the pattern
at home. At the Rehearsal we will give each contestant
a bag with their contestant number, photogenic
pictures, pictures you turned in for the program, your
t-shirt and program book if you ordered one. PRACTICE
THE ENCLOSED PATTERN!! We will have the X’s on the
stage for you. If the pattern doesn’t come through
correctly, then it is on the state website, go to
http://missgaforestry.com/id66.html Rehearsals will be
at the Performing Arts Center at the Tift County High.
Tiny Miss may have a parent or someone of your choice
to walk with them on stage. Dresses or gowns shall be
the choice of the parent, this means they can be long,
short, or any style. Directions to the Theatre. Get on
Interstate I-75 go north, get off on exit 64, turn
right, go down to the first traffic light and turn
left onto 20th street. Stay on 20th street until it
dead ends, you will pass our hospital and 20th Street
will dead-end at a traffic light. Turn left at the
traffic light, go down to the first traffic light and
turn right. Stay on this road and the High School
Theatre will be on your left. NO VIDEO CAMERAS OR
CAMERAS, BEEPERS OR CELL PHONES ALLOWED AT THE
PAGEANT. NO SOLICITING OF ANY KIND ALLOWED, THIS MEANS
NO PASSING OUT OF MATERIALS FOR OTHER EVENTS!!! THIS
IS FOR THE SAFETY OF OUR CONTESTANTS!! NO FOOD OR
DRINKS ALLOWED ON PREMISES! DON’T EVEN TRY TO BRING
CAMERAS, VIDEOS, FOOD, DRINKS, OR SOLICITATION. IF YOU
ARE CAUGHT YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED. FLOWERS, GIFTS,
AND CARDS CAN BE SENT TO CONTESTANTS, BUT NO CANDY OR
BALLOONS ALLOWED!! IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO HAVE FLOWERS
SENT, WE RECOMMEND THE FLOWER GALLERY. YOU CAN CALL
229-382-9359 TO PLACE YOUR ORDER. ORDERS SHOULD BE
PLACED AHEAD OF TIME. We will have a videographer and
photographer at the pageant set up by the dressing
room. You will have an order form for pictures and
videos in your bag when you get to the rehearsal. If
you do not attend rehearsal, Pick up your bag and if
entering photogenic, pickup photogenic pictures at the
side door when you get to the pageant. Any pictures
left at the pageant will be your responsibility to
pickup at a later date. If you want a motel, you need
to make reservations at the Holiday Inn in Tifton
immediately 229-382-6687. We will have a dressing room
for your child to get into her gown or pageant dress.
Only mom will be allowed in the dressing room.

Tiny , Little, and Junior can go around to the front
and watch the pageant after they walk but they must be
in the dressing room during

intermission. We will again have a Miss Georgia
Forestry Pageant People’s Choice Winner in each age
division. Votes are $1.00 each. You can start
collecting money now and turn it in the night of the
pageant. We will have a voting booth set up in the
lobby with each contestants name and picture. Votes
can be collected from now until intermission the night
of the pageant. Tickets: Admission is $15.00 per
person and will be sold at the rehearsal or at the
door. Seats are not reserved and you can sit wherever
you like.

Contestant only is admitted free.

VIDEOS: Videos can be ordered at rehearsal. For more
information on prices we will have an order form in

video form and mail it in prior to the pageant if you
would like.

Please put your picture and write up on yourself in
the local newspaper letting your county know that you
are representing them at the 67th Miss Georgia
Forestry Pageant. We encourage you to bring a cheering
crowd, you may make buttons with your picture on them
for your family and friends, they may bring posters to
hold up for you. State Forestry is exciting, you will
see everyone holding up signs and cheering for their
favorite contestants!! Don’t be left out, support your
girl, she’s worked hard to make it to this point! Your
contestant has worked hard to earn her way to the
State event, so please support her! She is getting to
participate in an event that only a few girls in
Georgia will get to participate in. Remember all
contestants are attending as winners and will leave as
winners. Local Queens will go home as a queen to
represent their county titles for the remainder of the
year. The Local Directors will have plenty of events
for the girls to participate in for the remainder of
their reign. We encourage cheering and supporting each
girl, although we will not allow any booing for or
against girls, also we expect all spectators to act in
an orderly way. Security will escort anyone who
disrespects others out of the Theatre. If you would

Program books: Program Books are $15.00 each and can
be purchased at the door of the pageant.


All winners and runner-ups need to report to the
photographer for picture of queen by herself and queen
and court immediately following each crowning. If you
do not have your picture taken, you will not be
included in publicity such as the website. We would
like for all queens to come back June 17, 2006 at 7:00
p.m. for the Miss Pageant and to be introduced on
stage and for group pictures at the end of the
pageant.

All Queens crowned will meet me for breakfast at the
Holiday Inn at 9:00 A.M. on June Sunday morning, June
18th to sign contracts, and go over details of the
upcoming year and what is expected of the Forestry
Queens and so forth. This will be mandatory for all
the newly crowned queens and their moms to attend.



PLEASE PLEASE STAY IN THE DRESSING ROOMS UNTIL WE COME
FOR YOU!! IT IS TOO HARD LOOKING FOR CONTESTANTS TO
LINE UP AND THEY ARE NOT IN THE DRESSING AREAS. WE
WILL HAVE HELPERS IN THE DRESSING ROOM TO LINE YOU UP
AND THEY WILL LET YOU KNOW WHEN IT IS TIME FOR YOUR
CHILD. DRESS OR GOWN ONLY!! NO SPORTSWEAR!!!
CONTESTANT AND MOM ONLY!! ARE ALLOWED IN THE DRESSING
ROOM. WE WILL PUT AN ARMBAND ON THE MOM AND SHE WILL
BE THE ONLY ONE ALLOWED TO COME THROUGH THE DOOR TO
THE DRESSING AREA.

PLEASE ABIDE BY RULES AND WE GUARANTEE YOU A SMOOTH
PAGEANT!!! NO MALES ALLOWED IN THE DRESSING ROOM, THIS
INCLUDES LITTLE BROTHERS!

All Miss Georgia Forestry Contestants are eligible to
advance to the Miss United States National Forestry
Pageant on September 2, 2006.

Contestants and moms must enter through the side door,
all other family members enter from the front. Moms
must have a ticket or pay at the side door to enter.
No exceptions!

Do not come to pageant until time, you will not be
able to get in!

5:00 p.m. Competition for Tiny ages 3 to 6 on June 9
doors will open at 4:00 P.M.

7:O0 p.m. Competition for Little Miss AGES 7 TO 9 on
June 9 and 5:00 P.M. for Junior Miss ages 10 to 12 on
June 10 doors will open at 4:00 P.M.. All Queens must
meet with me after she is crowned before she leaves
the pageant the night she is crowned!

If you would like to attend any of the pageants on the
night that you will not be competing, just wear your
banner and you can wear your crown if you like.
Contestants are admitted free to all pageants, they
will have a list at the ticket booth and they will
check your name off as you arrive.

We encourage you to attend the pageants of your sister
queens to cheer them on, they will be there supporting
you! Our theme is the Roaring 20s, feel free to dress
like the 20’s on the night you attend to support your
sister queens and don’t forget your county crown and
banner.

Please bring your county crown and banner and wear it
while in Tifton such as out eating and shopping and so
forth. If you would like to enter optionals, you may
do so by June 1st.

We will have a gift table with very reasonable priced
gifts, if you would like to purchase a gift to send
backstage to your contestant. Some of our gifts can be
viewed on our website. These are very adorable queen
like gifts and they are very reasonably priced.
Proceeds will go to the Forestry scholarship fund.

There are several fundraiser pageants coming up, along
with workshops and so forth before state. If you are

Also, you can enter optionals up to two weeks of the
pageant and if you owe money on optionals, all money
must be paid by two weeks of the pageant. If you owe
money, I will send you a separate statement, all money
must be paid now, we don’t collect entry fees at the
door. Photogenic pictures will not be accepted at the
pageant or at the rehearsal.

There will be approximately 50 girls in each division.
If you are planning on having someone do your hair and
makeup, we ask that you do this at the motel prior to
arriving at the pageant or at the hairdressers shop.
We just don’t have enough room backstage for everyone
to bring hairdressers, coaches, and so forth. We ask
that you take care of this prior to arriving at the
pageant. No pageant coach or hair dresser allowed in
the dressing room. Please take care of this at the
motel prior to arriving at the pageant. Please have
hair and makeup done prior to arriving and put your
gown on in the dressing room. Please make your hair
and makeup appointments where you will have plenty of
time to arrive on time at the pageant. We will not
wait on those who arrive late, we will be on a tight
schedule with 50 plus girls in each age group, so it
will be very important that we stay on tract with
time. After crowning all family members must wait
outside, they cannot come into the hallway to the
dressing room. We will be taking pictures in the
hallway after crowning and there is not enough room
for family members to enter, so please tell them, they
will have to wait outside until the contestant her mom
comes out and meets them. If you have not turned in a
birth certificate, I will need this before May 31st or
you will not be able to compete.

We have designed car signs to go on the back or side
of your your car. These can only be purchased through
the Georgia Forestry Pageant. You can purchase these
in magnetic. The signs will have the official Miss
Georgia Forestry crown, your name and your title. The
price is $20.00 for magnetic. We encourage the local
queens to purchase these to promote your title not
only at state forestry, but throughout the remainder
of the year. I ask that you get your orders to me as
soon as possible if you want these in time for State
Forestry. I will need the money plus $6.00 for
shipping and your name and title along with your
mailing address. We want all the signs to be alike so
when someone sees the sign, they will know you are a
